Description

A delicious creamy sauce perfect for various dishes.


Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups mayonnaise (use Duke’s mayo or Hellman’s aka Best Foods if not using Kewpie Japanese mayonnaise)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp butter (salted, melted)
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, water, melted butter, sugar, tomato paste, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne.
  3. Whisk until smooth, or pulse in a food processor for a creamy sauce.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. For best flavor, chill overnight.
