A delicious Frangipane filling encased in flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a bowl, combine almond flour, sugar, softened butter, one egg, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until creamy.
- Spread the frangipane filling over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border; place the hidden figurine if desired.
- Cover with another sheet of puff pastry and seal edges by crimping gently.
- Brush with the second beaten egg and cut small slits on top for steam vents.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Make sure the puff pastry is thawed properly for best results.
- You can add additional flavors to the frangipane if desired.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
